Daymar Ortiz vs. Tyler Spurlin in a 135 lb. fight. Ortiz took the fight to the mat alost immediately and on the ground he worked to improve position until Spurlin tried for multiple heel hooks before getting a sweep. From various positions Spurlin worked for multiple submission attempts until the bell ended the round. Round two also went to the mat by way of an Ortiz takedown and all round he was able to control position and work GNP as Spurlin was active with submission and escape attempts. Round three had hard punches landed by both fighters before Ortiz scored a takedown. All round Ortiz worked back and forth between mount and back control working solid GNP until the bell ended the fight. The scorecards were read and the winner by unanimous decision was Daymar Ortiz.
