Former MMA heavyweight fighter Goncalo Salgado visited Moscow in 2018 as a bodyguard of Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the biggest football stars of the world. Big Goncalo has been the head of his own security company and provided bodyguards for the movie stars and famous sportsmen. It makes things even more interesting if you know that it wasn’t his first visit in Moscow. In 2011 Portuguese heavyweight Goncalo Salgado from famous Gracie Barra team participated in M-1 Challenge 23 event in Moscow, having 7-1 pro record in MMA, in five fights he put his opponents to sleep with his punches. His only loss was when he got injured and was forced to stop the fight. His opponent was the winner of M-1 Fighter reality show, master of sports in kudo, young heavyweight from Gorets team Arsen Abdulkerimov. He had almost similar MMA record at the moment: eight victories and one loss.
