At UFC Vegas 4 (or UFC on ESPN: Poirier vs. Hooker), Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker battled over five rounds in one of the best fights of the year and arguably more than that. Both men showed everything you could ask for from technique to blood and guts violence to momentum swings and everything in between. Round 2 of their bout is easily one of the best rounds of mixed martial arts (MMA) action I've ever seen.
Now that the dust has settled somewhat, what are some of the lessons from this lightweight main event? I share a few thoughts.
