Brendan Loughnane won a fight in the Contender Series in 2019 but didn't get a UFC contract that night because Dana White wasn't happy that he went for a takedown at the end of the fight with a few seconds left, Dana felt going for a takedown in that spot was not the way to go, he felt he should've gone for the kill and tried to finish the fight.
