Dana White responds to Conor McGregor's withdrawal from UFC 303: 'It's part of the business' Michael Chandler discusses Conor McGregor pulling out of UFC 303 #conormcregor #danawhite #ufc303
Dana White is no stranger to handling last-minute changes to UFC events. Conor McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) had to withdraw from his much-anticipated return bout against Michael Chandler (23-8 MMA, 2-3 UFC) scheduled for June 29 at T-Mobile Arena due to an undisclosed injury.
In response, the UFC quickly reorganized the card, making a light heavyweight title-fight rematch between champion Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka the new main event. Additionally, a featherweight clash between Brian Ortega and rising star Diego Lopes was announced as the co-main event.
For White, these adjustments are routine. "It's part of the business," White told Sports Business Journal. "This is how it goes. We won't discuss it further until he's healed and ready. Then we'll assess the situation and make new plans."
