Robert Whittaker and Marvin Vettori have agreed to fight at UFC 275 on June 11th, which is targeted to take place in Singapore. Both these guys have come up short on 2 occasions vs the champion Israel Adesanya. That was Whittaker's last loss last month, and Vettori is coming off a win over Paulo Costa in October. Vettori is ranked #3, Whittaker is ranked #1. Since both these guys have lost to Adesanya, their chances of getting a title shot will increase if Jared Cannonier beats Adesanya, that is the next title fight in the division, probably in the summer. Whittaker has a win over Cannonier, but aside from that loss, Cannonier's been perfect at middleweight, winning his 5 other fights there vs Branch, Silva, Hermansson, Gastelum, and Brunson. 4 of those 5 wins were KOs or TKOs. Cannonier winning and Vettori winning would make for a fresh title fight potential, but both those guys will be underdogs.
